USC recognizes the vital role of mentoring postdoctoral scholars as they prepare for impactful careers in academia, industry and beyond. Our mission is to equip them with the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to excel in research and in leadership, guided by dedicated faculty mentors. We welcome postdoctoral scholars wishing to collaborate with USC faculty, and we expect our faculty to advise, mentor and support these emerging scholars in their professional development.

Postdoctoral scholars are essential to USC’s research engine and critical to the Provost’s efforts to expand sponsored research. The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs provides support, resources and a suite of Provost Signature Programs that help propel postdoctoral scholars toward independent research careers and leadership roles in their fields.
