A unified discussion of low-speed fluid mechanics including exact solutions; approximation techniques for low and high Reynolds numbers; inviscid flows; surface waves; dynamic stability; turbulence.
Recommended Preparation: Vector/tensor notation, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, complex variables and differential equations at the level of AME 525 /AME 526  (which are strongly recommended if lacking this background)
