Introduction to both classical and modern aspects of algebraic geometry. Topics include aspects of commutative algebra, algebraic curves, algebraic varieties and schemes, and sheaf cohomology.
Prerequisite: (MATH 510a  and MATH 510b ) or (MATH 535a  and MATH 540 )
Recommended Preparation: Familiarity with some ideas of commutative algebra and algebraic geometry
