Health Care Studies Minor

The Keck Minor in Health Care Studies is designed for undergraduates who wish to pursue a postgraduate career in health care or health care related fields. Students are exposed to course work and skills that are practical and relevant for a future career in health care. The minor brings together course work that explores health care both in the classroom and in clinical settings. Students are given practical hands-on activity and experiences in research laboratories, hospitals, the simulation lab, the cadaver lab and other unique settings not typically offered at an undergraduate level.
The Minor in Health Care Studies will:
- Provide instruction in domains identified as prerequisite competencies for health professions education.
- Provide content related to contemporary issues in health care.
- Provide students with an introduction to clinical care.
- Demonstrate the importance of scientific research and its applications to clinical practice.

Students must choose a minimum of 12 units from any of the following lists. Essential/Contemporary Topics in Health Care

Health Care Innovation
A maximum of 4 units from the following courses may count if enrolled in the Health Innovation Minor offered by the Iovine and Young Academy. |
