This program is designed for aspiring academic advisors or counselors who want to work in community colleges and four-year colleges or universities. Educational counselors and academic advisors play a vital role in the lives of college students. The program is designed to equip graduates with the skills to support students overcome challenges, recognize personal and community strengths, and achieve their academic and career goals. Further, students learn to critically examine college and university systems and advance educational equity and justice. A minimum of 40 units is required.
